Guide
Do professional cleaners clean inside ovens?
The short answer
Yes, but it's typically offered as an add-on rather than part of a base house or deep clean, since oven interiors take dedicated time and vary widely in buildup. Select it when booking so it's planned and timed properly. Heavily neglected ovens or self-clean cycle residue may need extra time, which we'll flag before starting.
Base clean vs. inside-oven add-on
| Item | Base clean | Inside-oven add-on |
|---|---|---|
| Oven exterior/handles | Included | Not included |
| Stovetop surface | Included | Not included |
| Oven interior (racks, walls, door glass) | Not included | Included |
| Broiler drawer | Not included | Included if requested |
| Self-clean residue removal | Not included | May need extra time |
Why it's not automatic
Oven interiors range from lightly used to heavily baked-on, and that range affects time far more than most other tasks in a home. Bundling it into every base clean would either underprice heavily soiled ovens or overprice lightly used ones: treating it as an add-on lets the estimate reflect your actual oven's condition.
If your oven has years of buildup, mention that when booking; we may recommend extra time so the crew isn't rushed on that one task at the expense of the rest of the home.
How California Deep Clean approaches it
- 01
Ask at booking
Select inside oven as an add-on in the estimator or mention it by phone.
- 02
Flag heavy buildup upfront
If it hasn't been cleaned in a long time, let us know so we allot appropriate time.
- 03
Detail racks, walls, and door glass
The add-on covers the full interior, not just a quick wipe.
- 04
Confirm results before we leave
Ask for photo confirmation if this is for a move-out or listing.
Stop guessing, price the actual space.
The estimator prices from your real inputs: square footage, bedrooms and bathrooms, condition, add-ons, access and timing. No averages, no phone tag.
Select it as an add-on for an accurate time and price.
Related questions
Yes. It follows the same logic as inside-oven cleaning: offered as an add-on because condition varies enough to meaningfully change the time required.
Running the self-clean cycle beforehand can help, but it can also leave ash residue that still needs manual removal. Let us know either way so we can plan for it.
In most cases yes, though extremely heavy buildup may take longer than a standard add-on allotment: flagging it in advance helps us schedule accordingly.
It's available on house cleaning, deep cleaning, and move-out cleaning bookings: select it in the estimator for the relevant service.
